I think the point, both of this specific review and of this blog in general, is that dance music can be more than just “fun tracks that people enjoy dancing to.” Sure, there’s music that’s lots of fun to hear out, and these tunes certainly qualify. But there are artists who are doing more than just sufficing, who are making music that’s worthy of having a conversation about. If having an opinion that’s more than just “oh man, my feet are moving, five stars” makes me a “silly silly little techno snob,” then I’m proud to be one.

Great timely comment. It’s funny because I so often think of shading a drawing as painting. With the work in progress image I kept referring to that first layer of light shading as an underpainting because that’s exactly what it is and like with painting certainly watercolour painting I get more satisfying results when I build up the image starting with a light wash and then adding progressively darker washes.

While I didn’t go to blissdom I came to this comclusion because blogging was becoming a stressor rather than an enjoyment. So I took a step back and realized I needed to decide why I was blogging and then make my decisions on my participation based on that. Messing around with the heatpipes and cooling fan is a bad idea in my book. You’ll have a really hard time improving on it, without some real good equipment and manufacturing skills.I’ll agree that the notebook is noisy, and also power hungry.Heatpipes are pressurized, which makes them do the phase change that moves the heat around. Good luck improving on that.But you can clean the fan and exhaust-fins with compressed air, and replace the stock cooling paste with something better.
